Lemonade is a statement that backs itself. Buttery body, pale lilac ruffle, neither colour interested in being subtle. The yellow is warm, the lilac is soft like a pressed flower. Two confident shades that look like they were always meant to share a cushion.

Put Lemonade on your bed and the whole room turns up a notch. Whites read whiter and the morning light has somewhere to land. Your bedroom feels lit up from the inside. This is a cushion that's happiest in a bedroom that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Made for the bedroom that's a little louder, a little more out there.

How to style Lemonade

I styled Lemonade with the matching quilt cover and pillowcases, then leaned into the fun. A bold colourful painting above the bed complements both shades of the cushion, pink and maroon candles play into the quirkiness, and a vase of mixed poppies carries the energy through the room.

White walls let the colours sing. Heavy earthy tones or matchy neutrals will dull both shades.

Emily, founder of Arlem

Created by someone who uses one every day

I wanted my bedroom to feel styled and intentional, without the morning pillow ritual that felt like too much effort every single day.

So I created the Arlem Bedhead Cushion. As beautiful as it is comfortable, and so easy to style! The idea came to me on a holiday in Queensland, and the day I got home I taught myself to sew, pouring my love of fabrics into every cushion. The first few hundred were hand sewn on my kitchen table in Adelaide, where I obsessed over every detail, shaping them soft enough to sink into yet structured enough to lean back against.

Today I still design every Bedhead Cushion, and use one on my own bed every day.

Whether you have been here from the beginning or have only just arrived, I am so happy you found Arlem.
